Writing: Singular & Plural Nouns

The major objective in Writing this week was for students to be able to name and write using singular and plural nouns. We created a chart of singular and plural nouns to help students understand that you typically just as an "s" or "es" to most nouns to make them plural. We did not really discuss in too much depth that sometimes you have alternate spellings or how some irregular nouns change (ex, mouse, mice, foot, feet).

The students practiced writing their own singular and plural nouns on the dry erase boards. Then they had the chance to write in their journals using both singular an plural nouns.
